Silver shoes

There's something about a silver shoe; an iridescent sheen, that sends my heart racing and loins lusting. What is it about this metallic hue?! Pointed - platformed - perfection. Dressed up or thrown on to spice up jeans, jumper and jewels, the outfit possibilities are endless.

The platforms are Topshop Boutique found on ebay for a mere £5.20 - slightly scraped and scratched but it adds to the charm. A clean up job and they're good to go.

Pointed pretty's also an ebay find for £14.99 but Zara originally. The comfiest courts out there.

The last need no introduction but I will anyway. Miista Zoe Oxford Silver Iridescent brogues hunted down and eventually found on Irish site 'Folkster' with free UK p&p this is one of my new favourite sites. Heaven in a shoe.

Weekend casual

I couldn't help myself. I love jumpers, I love collars and I love clashing colours. It made perfect sense that I had to purchase this Kenzo lookalike and smack it over a collar straight away.

I'm also testing using better quality photos for outfit posts so we'll see how that looks. I've been so naughty this weekend too but made some amazing purchases that I will have to add on here along with some recommendations.

Another weekend over so fast :( however check out my last photo... this place is unreal!! What a Friday night I had.

Drawing again

I'm not gona lie, it's very hard for a creative person, who has a degree in illustration to admit that they have fallen out of love with drawing. But it's true. Art, design, creating has always been my passion and talent since I was literally old enough to put pen to paper and produce coherent images - mostly of Disney characters, monsters and my mum back in those days.

Now as a 24 year old adult, finding that love and inspiration and reworking it into my own creations has felt dead to me. I have all this 'meat' to use and play with, tons of ideas, materials and endless books and magazines to send my brain into overdrive, but I just can't seem to work it.

I keep thinking that it's wrong for me to push it - let it come naturally as it will never escape me - it's part of my make up and personality. So here are the waves on paper, the waves of ignition that must be pouring out of me without me really realising. Some doodles for you...by no means works of art. It's hard when your photoshop has died!!

All drawn with pencil, 0.1 fine liner and paper.

LFW - Ashish

As Ashish said himself, this collection was inspired by popping down to the off licence with your outift reminiscent of the night before and the added comfort of slippers. And let me tell you, in my unfit hungover state this morning, once my headache had calmed slightly, seeing these wondrous delights on Vogue with my gold band rings and holographic square earrings still in, it was all too perfect!

Every single detail is to die for. The sequin shoppers with play on word slogans, the ripped denim and checked patterned hair, all pieced together with the eccentric flair of a proper London catwalk. By far my favourite - I know it will be, Ashish always is.

So with some images borrowed from Vogue and Les Beehive, I share with you the beauty and the ever so inventive Ashish. I also will do whatever I can to own one of these bags.

Another day another bargain co-ord

Now I bought this Asos co-ord last year over a few months, jacket followed by trousers as soon as someone was crazy enough to list them on eBay. Yes, I did look twice a day from April until June, solidly for 2 months until I found each piece. And yes I paid about £20 for the whole thing!!

I don't care if ombre is starting to cliché, I don't care that the trousers are slightly see through around the bum area and I don't care if a drunk hobo on Camden High Street called me a "fucking hippy".

I love it.

eBay bargains

Paying off credit cards is much harder than it looks when you initially write down your finance plan. Yet saying that, I have successfully and in cold-turkey fashion, paid one off in one go. Thus meaning I have no money spare to buy my beloved clothes, shoes, accessories, bags etc. which can only result in finally getting around to loading my life onto eBay.

Bad for me - good for you! It's taken a lot of determination and the coldest of cold hearts to part with some of these items and all starting at 99p, sent with love, care and jealous tinged admiration for their new owners.

Have a look and break my heart whilst you do - click here to look

Creamfields outfits

What a way to end a Summer. Last weekend I went to my last festival - Creamfields.

By far my favourite of them all, a real place for music lovers and young pill enthusiasts, in the Cultural Capital of Europe (2008) and the root of half of my heritage - Liverpool. The first time in my Creamfields history I, as well as every other festival goer, were able to actually sit on a real field, albeit slightly yellow tinged, but hard ground is hard ground people! Sunshine and warm temps all round combined with surreal, exhilarating music and lovely company.

The line up is always clash-worthy but can't help feeling spoilt for choice. Tom Staar, Tim Mason, Benny Benassi, Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Prodigy, Tommy Trash, Afrojack and Tiesto but to name a few.

The whole weekend was a highlight for me and I loved every second. Outfit wise I wanted something to work with wellies and something to work with potential nice weather and to wear a token vintage item - the yellow baseball jersey. So here is what I went with...

Baseball jersey - eBay (vintage)
Shirt - Topshop
Shorts - Beyond Retro
Necklace - Topshop
Wellies - Hunter
Bag - Cambridge satchel

Sunglasses - Rayban wayfarer
Top - Topshop
Skort - eBay
Shoes - River Island
Bag - Cambridge satchel

V Festival

A weekend of theoretical innocence, a virgin at V Fest if you will. So my festival's have started up again but now with only one more to go...

This weekend I went to V Fest for the first time in Chelmsford, Hylands Park - or to summarise a location in a recognisable way - Essex. Not really my type of music but still managed to watch some great stuff and draw some insightful experiences. Ellie Goulding, Idris Elba, Steve Angello, Beyonce and Jaguar Skills made my weekend as well as the 8 hour sleep I managed to get in the tent on an empty sack of a blow up bed (I forgot the plug).

I'd planned for rain all weekend so only took wellies and P.C outfits that I wouldn't mind potentially ruining, but didn't need them at all, I knew I shouldn't have packed light! Sunny, hot and waspy. Waspy as in wasps everywhere.

Headband - Topshop
Dress - Motel Rocks
Wellies - Hunter
Same as above
Jacket - Topshop
Bag - Cambridge satchel
Top - Topshop
Shorts - Topshop
Bag - Cambridge satchel
Sunglasses - Rayban
